High-pressure solvent extraction (HPSE) is the process by which solvent is introduced to solid, semi-solid, or viscous matrices under high pressure and temperature to extract semi-volatile targets from samples that would otherwise be impossible to process by solid phase extraction. HPSE extraction methods can be applied to both the food and environmental industries for preparing samples for quantification by either LC or GC-MS. The collection vials containing extract are compatible with LabTech CDS Analytical nitrogen concentrators and vacuum concentrators. Additionally, the SPE2000 is perfect for clean water samples or dirtier samples containing particulates or sediment with the ability to perform automated inline filtration to prevent blockages, which is perfect for samples in both the environmental and food industries. Through the use of positive pressure, each sample is evenly processed during each step and waste solvents can be separated into 4 waste streams for simple and green waste disposal. The SPE2000 can process samples between 1 mL and 4L with the large volume sample rack to accommodate the processing of large water samples. Product Features Large Volume Sampling Capability The large volume sampling rack allows for an extended sampling range of up to 1L. Automatic Online Filtration Automatic tip collection allows for online filtration of samples with particulates, and the tip is ejected after each sample. Pre-Loaded Method Library EPA methods come pre-loaded with the system for easy acclimation to the SPE2000. Solvent Library and Solvent Tracking The solvent library comes pre-loaded with common solvents and tracks usage as the bottle nears empty. Universal Cartridge Compatibility The barbed cartridge rods accommodate cartridges sizes of 1, 3, and 6mL. Separate Waste Disposal Channels Automatically separate waste streams for greener and more cost-effective waste disposal.
