Additionally, the SPE2000 is perfect for clean water samples or dirtier samples containing particulates or sediment with the ability to perform automated inline filtration to prevent blockages, which is perfect for samples in both the environmental and food industries. Through the use of positive pressure, each sample is evenly processed during each step and waste solvents can be separated into 4 waste streams for simple and green waste disposal. The SPE2000 can process samples between 1 mL and 4L with the large volume sample rack to accommodate the processing of large water samples.     CDS Analytical purge and trap systems provide automated VOC analysis for water, soil, and environmental GC/MS workflows. Home >> Products >> Purge & Trap Purge & Trap Gas chromatography is one of the fundamental analytical tools that compose the modern analytical lab, along with Mass Spectroscoy, Spectroscopy and Microscopy. However, like everything else, it does have several limitations, including lack of sensitivity, inability to tolerate water injections, and the sample must be in the vapor state. These limitations all come into play when studying aqueous samples in drinking and waste water and beverages. Purge and Trap, invented in the 60s in response to the Clean Water Act, is the most effective method to answer these challenges for extracting and concentrating volatile organic compounds (VOC) from liquids and solids. The Purge and Trap process involves purging the sample with an inert gas in a sealed environment (sparge vessel) at the appropriate temperature. The gas going through the sample will establish thermal equilibrium with VOCs in the sample, therefore transferring the VOCs from an aqueous state to a vapor. After eliminating the moisture through the wet trap, the gas is then swept to an analytical trap that absorbs and retains the VOCs , where they are transferred to the Gas Chromatograph for further analysis. Hand-Held Plug-in Control Interface This hand-held interface gives you easy access to the Thermal Desorption system without using a PC. This is an essential feature for mobile labs in field sampling and analysis. High Temperature Valve Oven at max 350°C The high temperature oven (350 °C) significantly extends the analyte range from VOCs to sVOCs. Built Tough with Easy Maintenance The CDS 9300 is built tough on military standard. Routine maintenance only requires basic tools in accessing the components. Powerful Windows Based Software The software is Windows 10 compatible to give user full access to method editor and sequence table. It features a hand-held controller for system maintenance and direct communication. With the highest programmable valve temperature on the market (350 °C), the 9300 can venture into applications where other systems can not perform, including VOCs, sVOCs, polar and nonpolar compounds. The two stage trapping and desorption process with Pre-desorb and Pre-heat feature eliminate the need of any Peltier cooling or liquid cryogen to improve the resolution for early eluting molecules.
