CDS Receives Notification of Performance for testing of chemical warfare materials and NTA materials

November 17, 2011 - CDS Analytical received a memorandum from the Branch Chief, Chemical Analysis Physical Property, Edgewood Chemical Biological Center, for the successful performance of the analysis of chemical warfare material and NTA materials.
The CDS 9350 is the latest real-time air monitoring system. It has been designed to deal with the more difficult environments that have to date, not been achievable. This includes the ability to collect and analyze compounds with boiling points down to -50° C, without cryogen trapping or cryo-focusing, and collect analytes with boiling points above 300° C with the addition of a heated sample line. All heated zones are capable of maintaining temperatures of up to 350° C.
The CDS 9350 has fast-flow capabilities for sample collection of up to 1.5 LPM, rapid heat and cool down times for both sorbent tubes and focus traps and does not require cryo-focusing. This allows for much quicker cycle times, from collection to completion of analytical analysis, when utilizing the latest in Low Thermal Mass (LTM) chromatography techniques.
The CDS 9350 has a single purge and trap option that will allow for onsite water testing. Solid samples can be tested for organic contaminants with boiling points from -30° C to over 300° C by the use of empty sorbent tubes. The CDS 9350 will allow for the continuous monitoring of air samples, the analysis of remotely collected air samples, as well as the analysis of water and solid samples.
